Civil Society Roundtable Meeting with the Personal Representatives of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office on Tolerance Issues

ODIHR convened a roundtable for NGOs during the Human Dimension Implementation Meeting (HDIM). The aim of the meeting was to provide a forum for discussion with the Personal Representatives.

NGOs had the opportunity to raise issues, identify priorities and exchange information in the following areas:

  • Combating Anti-Semitism;
  • Combating Intolerance and Discrimination against Muslims;
  • Combating Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination, also focusing on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians and Members of Other Religions

The roundtable started with a general introduction about the role and activities of the Personal Representatives. Afterwards participants split into three working groups where the discussion continued with the respective Personal Representative concerning their specific areas of interest. The three working groups then presented to the plenary the finding or main points of the discussion.
