Warsaw, Hotel Sofitel (Room 2)
1 October 2010, 13.00-15.00

In the framework of the upcoming OSCE Review Conference, which will be held in Warsaw from 30 September to 8 October 2010, ODIHR will convene a Q&A side event with the Advisory Council of the OSCE/ODIHR Advisory Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion or Belief.

The side event will be held on the second day of the Review Conference, in connection with Session II of the Conference on Freedom of Thought, Conscience, Religion or Belief.

The side event will present an opportunity for an informal and open discussion with the Advisory Council on issues related to freedom of religion or belief in the OSCE area. It is structured around a Q&A format to make the debate more focused and dynamic. Interested participants will be able to benefit from the Advisory Council's expertise on specific subject matters.

Additionally, the Advisory Council will gain a deeper understanding of themes and issues discussed by the participants. It is expected that this discussion will inform the Advisory Council's current update of the 2004 Guidelines for Review of Legislation Pertaining to Religion or Belief.

Due to time constraints at the side event, questions should be sent in advance by e-mailing them to simona.santoro@odihr.pl.

Deadline: 28 September 2010.
