This factsheet outlines the main activities of the Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion and Belief which was set up by the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) in 1997 to help protect the rights of individuals and religious groups.
Guidelines for review of legislation pertaining to religion or belief

These guidelines were prepared by the ODIHR's Advisory Panel of Experts on Freedom of Religion or Belief in consultation with the Council of Europe's Venice Commission to assist them in their analyses of laws and draft legislation pertaining to the freedom of religion or belief.
