It contributes to linking policing and human rights, investigating and interviewing in a way that includes a 'hate crime perspective', introducing concrete ways and means of investigating hate crimes, reflecting on possible prejudices towards LGBT persons within the police, creating awareness of how the police can secure a constructive environment free of prejudice when interacting with a LGBT person. The tool kit is a reference tool and can be used for police training across Europe.
