Igualdad de trato y no discriminación : guía de recomendaciones para la formación de fuerzas y cuerpos de seguridad (Equality and non-discrimination : guidebook of recommendations for police and security forces training)

Abstract

The aim of the guidebook is to constitute a support material to the security forces training schools and academies, with the purpose to promote the equality of treatment and non-discrimination in the professional practice, to identify contents and specific actions to prepare the police officers to face a more and more diverse ethnical and cultural society, and to provide practical and positive options to fight racism and xenophobia within and outside of the organization. The guidebook was drawn up by the Spanish Observatory against Racism and Xenophobia (Ministry of Work and Social Matters) with collaboration of National Police and Civil Guard training academies and schools, as well as Autonomous and Local Police training institutions from Catalonia, Galicia, Canary Islands, Extremadura, Andalusia, Navarre and the City Council of Barcelona.
