Abstract: Publisher's description: This publication is primary for police who would like to learn about hate crimes and in particular hate crimes against LGBT persons. It contributes to linking policing and human rights, investigating and interviewing in a way that includes a 'hate crime perspective', introducing concrete ways and means of investigating hate crimes, reflecting on possible prejudices towards LGBT persons within the police, creating awareness of how the police can secure a constructive environment free of prejudice when interacting with a LGBT person. The tool kit is a reference tool and can be used for police training across Europe.
